Rear Parking Assist is an excellent system that alerts you to obstacles when space behind your car is tight, such as when parking.

The system is activated when reverse gear is engaged. When an obstacle is detected, the radio/stereo volume is lowered and an intermittent "buzzer signal" comes from the car's rear speakers. The signal sounds when the car is still about 150 cm from the obstacle and changes to a continuous signal when the obstacle is about 30 cm from the rear bumper.

The set consists of four sensors mounted almost invisibly in the rear bumper, a control unit and a buzzer with an adjustable sound level. The sensors and holders are painted in the color of the car.

The system can be switched off, e. g. when reversing with a caravan.
